Click here to contact us! 201005 This is the 753rd Tank Battalion landing in southern France in 1943 after fighting their way through Sicily and Italy. At this point and for much of the war they were attached to the 36th I.D., although at various times companies from the battalion were attached to the 82nd Airborne, the 1st A.D. and other divisions. 201010 Restored M3 Lee Medium Tank This is what the 753rd trained on and was equipped with for their first operations in Sicily and Italy. 201011 Restored M4 Sherman Tank with 75mm Main Gun appears to be the Composite Hull type. By the time the 753rd got to France they were mainly equipped with the M4A1 variant. 201020 M4 Sherman’s in Africa lined up for loading on LST’s headed for Sicily. 201030 Judicious use of sandbags and camo. on this M4 with a 76mm Main Gun.
